A buddy of mine has a Fiberglass CJ-7 with a 350 in it. He bought it this way and it needs new plugs and wires, he thinks. It has a miss.

What are the best brand plugs for a chubby and he needs excellent wires for use with headers.

Depending on the ignition system an OE quality plug and wire set may actually work better than a set of 8.5mm and platinum plugs. Is it a basic 350 or is is built?

It is a "built" 350.... For whatever that means. Someone told him moroso 40's for wires and Autolites for plugs......

OK, So if it has an upgraded ignition system I normally go with MSD or Taylor 8.5mm wires and I have been running Accel u-grove header plugs. They header plugs are shorter to give more clearance between the boot and the header. Depending on compression ratio of the motor you might want to play with the gap to fine tune the spark. I had to close teh gap on mine when I went from 8.5 and stock ignition to 9.2 to 1 with a full MSD.
