Really? Many of my local friends run the MT/Rs from 35s up to 42s and they seem to work great here in Ohio. A good friend of mine is running them in a 42 on his LJ with raceline beadlocks and can run 70+ down the highway and never balanced them...
.
I would say ya'll are some of the lucky ones. I can't recall many at all that said they loved the tire. I honestly didn't have a pleasant experience with them. But I am not the mass'. If they were that bad I don't think they would still be on the market. Another tire you might want to take a look at are the new Yokohamma G005. Several running them around here and hearing good things.

I have a buddy who just bought a set of 40" G005s, to me, they look too much like Mud Grapplers, which I am not a fan of. I dont think they would serve well for a DD either lol. I have also been told by a friend of Peligrino that they were not big fans of them on the GR rigs which was one of the reasons for them switching to Mickys.

But like JeepnDel said, everyone likes something different.

I agree with you and Del 100%. You have to decide what is best for you. I don't think you can go wrong with Micky's. Great tire. I get the Mud Grappler comparison. But I have been "told" they are not even close. But who knows. Only thing I can tell you for sure is beware of the MTR's. Good luck. Let us know what you go with.
