Mounting a winch behind the stock bumper '07-'11

I have decided that I like the stock bumper, modified with VDP stubby caps and a MBRP Front Light Bar & Grille Guard, but I still would like to install a winch. I do not like the look of a winch plopped on top like a slug on a log. I have been searching for ideas online, I know they make one for the newer JK bumpers but they do not have an easy way to instable a fairlead. I also have seen folks mount the winch upside down but I wont be able to see the cable with my skid plate installed.

I am looking for a cheap yet strong option to work with my stock Sahara.
What are the strong points to mount to?
What have all of you done in this situation? and what were the hang ups you encountered?

You could use a winch plate to mount a winch but I don't think the factory bumper with fog lights allows for much room. I think that's why most of the kits you see toss the winch on top of the bumper. I ended up going with a bumper from VKS when I mounted my winch. I had to trim some of the frame and remove the lower crash bar but the winch tucked down below the grill.
