I finally got the okay to build my jeep the way I want. Now that I have that permission am reevaluating my Jeep. Do I build the one I have or buy a newer Jeep and build that. I currently have an 07 with an automatic transmission. I would love a 6 speed manual. Has anyone here ever done a swap like that? If so would you do it again if you had to?

Oh man, you can HAVE my manual transmission!
I have two friends that just swapped trans's - one went auto to manual (crazy!) and the other, manual to auto.. Both went smooth, but they were also both TJ's, meaning there is much less computer stuff to deal with..
I just priced going from Manual to Auto (like 2 weeks ago) for my '12.. My shop was hesitant because they knew i would need a new ECU, TCM, ABC and probably and M.O.U.S.E. .. They also related the story of another shop that had just recently tried to do a swap for a customer and it's still not right due to computer issues..
