TJ 1-TONS SWAP - BUILDING A BIG BAD RIG

Good Morning all,
We are excited to share our journey with you on our 2002 TJ build. We have a lot going on and into this build so this thread is where we will be posting information from start to finish and everything along the way. Boundless Off-Road is not new to building off road machines but are excited to be doing our first 1-ton axle swap. This build will be getting (to start) the Metal Cloak; TJ Lock-N-Load Long-Arm Suspension System, ARB Edition, 4.5"

To start; we have a 2002 TJ, full STOCk and plan to make her an off road beast!
swapping out STOCK for 1-tons axles= Front Dana 50 & Rear Sterling 10.25
**see pictures below**
*First, you need to inspect the axles, go over all bearings to make sure the axle shafts are in good condition, not twisted or damaged.

We will be posting pics and short videos along with information, parts and our journey for this build so, stay tuned for more on this extensive project build!

May I ask why you ended up with a Dana 50 over a 60 or 44?
Good question, the main reason why we are going with a dana 50 / Sterling is price and availability (it was donated). For this build the 50 will be more than strong enough. The 50 lies somewhere between a dana 44 and a dana 60 in strength.
