Rear Brake Line (routing)

Does anyone have any recommendations for routing the rear brake lines along the frame (with pics to show what they've done)? I saw on the AutoEdits' YouTube page where his rear sway bar took out his brake line. He needed to trim the bolt, so it wasn't only the routing of the brake line that was an issue. AutoEdits was able to do a trail fix and bend the brake lines and zip tie them out of the way (pic below). Is there a more optimal location for the frame bracket?

Also: I know there are a bunch of folks that run no rear sway bar, and I didn't want to debate the pros/cons of that. My goal of this thread is to learn what folks have done to re-route the brake line (keeping the sway bar).

I’m wondering if you could run it along the upper control arm then to the brake. I’ve seen a lot of custom suspensions do that.

If memory serves me correctly, it was the Rubicon trail run with the Metalcloak guys.

I've found my rear brake lines are acting as limiting straps (I think I've got this fixed) but was wondering if there was a better way to route to achieve more droop as I don't like the idea of limiting it if possible. Not trying to hijack the thread but was curious what others had to say about rerouting

Just get longer brake lines.....

I've got the longest ones I've been able to find , I guess I could go custom but routing a better way would probably prove a better solution as it would help avoid binding or getting caught up in a coil or something. The longer they are the more likely they are to end up somewhere I don't want them.

Re route them to the pumpkin and then out to the calipers along the top of the axle tubes. This might be a good option. I have seen some crazy flex on some bouncers and that is what many of them do.

I think this is the route I'll go eventually, I've already rerouted the exhaust so I don't have a muffler back there anyway

When metalcloak came to town with their CTI ramp, the technician showed me all you need to do is bend the hard line up a bit to make sure the sway bar link bolt can’t grab it. It was real simple. Just put your thumbs in the middle of the hard line and push up slowly until you’ve raised it about an inch or two. The bolt will never be able to reach it.

I did pretty much what the picture looks like. I did leave the connection fitting in the factory spot but then I unhooked the line from the plastic mount on the side of the frame rail and bent it by hand slowly so it didn't kink and rerouted it to on top of the frame rail and then where it did touch the top of the frame rail I zip tied a piece of rubber fuel line around it so it wouldn't get chafed.

I just ordered rear brake lines from Metalcloak, should be here this week. I’ll keep this in mind during the install and make a video to share once we figure it out. I am slightly worried about my brake line becoming a limiting strap (that is NOT its purpose) and certainly don’t want it damaged. On the front I use the Teraflex Brake line holders and I’m SUPER happy about them. I don’t thing they are meant for the rear but I’ll have to look closer at them.
