Hey folks.

Trying to think of ways that we can make this forum better for us in Land Use and Access.

Ideas on information to post, include successes your organization has had over the years.
What keeps you up as a leader or worker in your organization.
What is the biggest issue you face on a day-to-day basis.
How can those of us in NAMRC help you make your organization better.

If you think of other information, please feel free to post it here.
I will post up the list of organizations that I have later.

I guess some of the successes that Esprit De Four has had in the past is it's current work with trail maintenance and a solid working relationship with Hollister Hills OHV. For the trail maintenance, we work with the forest service to obtain the permits, camp sites, and porta-potties to maintain Corral Hollow in Stanislaus. Also, as a club, we work with Hollister OHV for park maintenance, tree planting, etc multiple times throughout the year.
As for making our organization better, that I'm not sure but we do have a trip coming up this weekend and I'll ask a few of the other club members and see what they say.

I hope we can use this forum to network our organizations to further the issues we are working on. I tried to use our club site bay area riders forum to do that but met little sucess.

We are working on opposing Celieste Garmendi's latest effort to tward our riding area, Carnegie specifically. Can you guys get all your guys to contact Gorernor Newsome?

Perhaps we need an action items forum, like, please act now before it is too late, that everyone can act on.

We do have a Land Use thread area.
That would be the location to put alerts from different organizations and when they need help with letters, emails and such.

We know the owners here, and could even possibly create a new threat area for organization alerts or actions needed.

Perhaps instead of a separate area for alerts, maybe have a sticky at the top of the main page titled "Action alerts" or something like that as that'd be one of the first things people would see when entering the site/page

yes. the key is to identify what people see and what do they respond to. Folks are used to sensationalism.

Todd, is there a way to put land use fights into regions. I know most folks out here on the east coast think that the fight for land is only a west coast problem. This might bring better awareness to the group. Thoughts?

I am sure we can. List them by the state or if they are forest service, list the region.
