I was reading up on a clean agent extinguisher and they seem to be ideal because there’s no or very little mess and they won’t shock your electronics. But a 2pounder will run approx $175. I’m just curious if it’s really worth the money or are there some better options
If you plan to do events connected with state Associations like Cal4wheel in CA, and several other organized events, they have a safety list you must meet. Fire Ext. are usually on there. And as an old career fireman, I can suggest further that you get a pretty good one with a gauge and one that you have serviced every couple years. (refilled, checked). Have it handy with the premise that you're driving along and kaboom, something catches on fire in your rig. You, as the driver, are going to jump out and make an immediate decision -- save the rig (and passengers); OR JUST RUN FOR IT!
