Ask The Expert- Diff sliders

I have a Poison Spyder diff cover currently and wondering if a Diff slider is a good idea as well? Specifically looking at the AEV slider for a JKU rear diff. Any pro's and cons would be appreciated. I'm open to other sliders too but seems like the AEV provides protection to the lower Cv joint.

I'm not an expert, but I suppose I could see a benefit if you've got a LP front axle. I've never had any contact at the pinion on my stock HP 30 or my current HP 44. For $280, I'd fine something better to spend the money on.

Mostly, it depends on where you wheel. If your terrain is that gnarly, then it might be cheap insurance. On the other hand, if the terrain isn't rocky, or broken up, I'd find better things to spend money on.
