CB Radio and Airbag Light

So my wife and I were running our jeeps to the surf fishing beach the other day and we were talking in the CB to each other as we were driving. I was in our JK and when I would transmit, my airbag light would come on for a second and the chime would sound. The light didn't stay on after I was done talking.

I don't know much about CB radios. I did tune the SWR and all that good stuff and the power is direct from the battery. I was on channel 4 if that matters.

I know it's not the clock spring. I just got the new one from Chrysler engineering.

Has that happened to anyone else? It's a first for me.

Never heard of this! Yikes. Curios to see what everyone else has to say. You might try the CB with the fire stick not hooked up. It may tell you if it's the CB itself causing the issue and not the firestick. Where is your stick located and how tall is it?

It's a 4' firestik. Located on the back passenger side of the tub. When I google the issue it brings up a cut up blurb that looks like it's out of the owners manual about radio interference but when info to the manual, I can't find the section where it talks about it.

Recheck the ground for the antenna. If it's not making a very good connection to the body ground (or chassis ground), that can cause interesting RF problems.
