BLM Faces Lawsuit After Reopening Land to Off-Roaders

Environmental groups are suing the Bureau of Land Management after it reopened 5,300 acres of land for off-road use in Utah’s Factory Butte back in May. The land was closed in 2006 to protect two endangered cactus species. The land borders Capitol Reef National Park to the west and is near the town of Caineville.

I’m curious on how long this will stay open. It’s seems that the BLM has done more than enough to protect the environment.
