Aftermarket cage and softtop

Hey all

I have the GenRight weld in cage in my Jeep.
It currently has the stock softtop installed.
Has anyone tried to install one of the Trex bowless softtops on an aftermarket cage?

I can just buy the replacement softtop and go that route.
That is the one option that has the least risk, as I know the stock softtop will fit with the current frame system.

The reason I was looking at one of the other styles, is because of this cage, the softtop will not fold down like it use to as stock.

Thanks

Could you just take measurements and send to Bestop for a custom top. I would think it would be fairly close to stock with a few minor mods

I could try that.

I will run down to my local 4WheelParts and see what they say also.
Most of those guys at this one are Jeep guys.

Hey Todd. I have the same cage in Spike. No bueno. Custom top is the only way to get something that will stay tight and work well.

The Smittybilt replacement top fit good so far.
I have not installed the side windows or rear window.

I should probably write an article on this!
