Does anyone use an aluminum tie rod? I'm curious to know how things are working out. How is it on street? Have you hit rocks or stumps?

I had a Fusion 4x4 one on my JK before I sold it. Never had any problems, plenty beefy enough. I never got around to fitting a steering stabilizer to it though, it either requires a bolt on bracket that has a chance of moving (with hydro assist especially), or you need to find someone with a TIG welder

I bought mine from Stinky Fab and will be installing in about 4 weeks. It's beefy, looks good, and based on the information I've researched, it will be awesome. We'll see..

There’s videos on YouTube showing the flexibility of 7075 aluminum over steel. I was completely blown away to see how much force and movement the aluminum solid tie rod could take over steel. I forget which company it is that makes the best ones. It’s like TJM or TCM or something like that. I would just start googling or youtubing aluminum tie rod until you find the one you like. I run all Synergy steering up front because I know they are the strongest available with the largest tie rod ends and ball joints that will still fit into stock knuckles and pitman arm. Synergy and I’m sure metalcloak as well are both better than 1 ton steering. Aluminum to save weight. Steel if you ever need to bend it back. They both have pros and cons. 6573E10A-6B52-4893-8150-9286348322FC.jpegB6E76B8B-4604-47EF-9602-CF41ABE84E05.jpeg

When I helped with the SRRS (Rock bouncers) I saw 7075 do some wicked stuff. It’s the real deal.

My JK has a 7075 Rock Krawler Tie rod and it has never let me down.
