2014 JK Battery Issues

Hello everyone,

So I’ve been having some issues with my wrangler. While driving on the highways I’ve had my wrangler ping and pop up with gauge cluster lights that immediately disappear. At the same time my gauges freak out. I’m not sure if it’s every single gauge but at least my speedometer drops to zero then picks right http://tradevenue.se/ back up in a second. I plugged my flash cal in tonight and read a code that said battery overload. I cleared it and am waiting to see if it happens again. I was also reading high 14v’s while driving around tonight. I’m thinking it may be the PCM voltage regulator and I’m really hoping it isn’t. Any other ideas. I have after market headlights, dashcam, and CB all connected to the battery if that makes a difference.

Thanks.

I have a ‘14 and have had this issue. Make sure the connectors are attached to the battery posts good. Then I would go get the battery tested. Both times I’ve had this happen, it was a bad (going bad) battery.
