    Black (painted) Sahara flares

Considering swapping my grey 'X' flares for some matching black Sahara flares instead of going flat fenders. Whatcha got?

    CTI scores

Brokeagain and Pthorpe84 have it right. Still, for the purposes of this thread, my then-stock two-door JK scored 580. If things fall into place, I'll be lifting it this spring or summer, at which point I hope to track down the CTI trailer again.

    Locker preference

I'm still running open diffs for now, but I spent many hours researching, reading and watching videos on the subject. I came away convinced e-lockers were the way I want to go.

    Breather tubes

I've considered that. So far, my OCD nature, combined with the fact that I rarely see any water crossings in my wheeling area, has prevented me from leaving an unused piece of hose there. But, that's exactly the route I may follow one of these days.

    Breather tubes

Yes, crawling underneath the rig, I can find the tube at the transmission, but as you follow it up, it disappears between the fire wall and the engine. I've read where others have had trouble finding them on 3.8Ls; was hoping someone here might've found a trick to locating it.

    Blacked out

They're GenSSi dual-LED modules running Samsung chips. I bought them via eBay -- very inexpensive and waterproof. Here's a YouTube video from when I first installed the white ones underneath for rock lights. (I have white under the frame and blue in the wheel wells and behind the grille.)...

JL truck - Gladiator - pics & details released

Frankly, I see much production-minded compromise in this. I get the automaker's need to find efficiencies and shared components, but styling cues like the odd lower rear door (which works on the Wrangler, where there's a fender to run alongside) and the fender crossing the bed-body gap...

    Let's See Those Welds!

That's EXACTLY what I've wondered in this whole weld-recall mess. I'd think they're likely robotic welds, but some of them just look so amateurish it's hard to believe a machine did it.

    Breather tubes

At the risk of hijacking this thread, how have others managed to reach the termination end of the transmission breather tube? From underneath, it appears to disappear behind the engine. I've done my axles, but can't get to the tranny tube.

    Battery issues with winch?

I've heard both that you do and that you don't have to upgrade. Given the number of winches out there, I'm betting the average user has no need for a battery upgrade.

    MC outboard shock mounts

Good to know. I hadn't realized those MC mounts were so beefy, either!

    Tire carriers

I went with a bumper-mounted/tailgate-tied carrier and kind of regret it. Functionality is great, but my tailgate rattle started after I mounted the bumper/carrier, and has gotten MUCH worse over the years. Adjusting the latch hasn't helped, either.

    Check Engine Light

It's fairly simple. The garage mechanic method is to just pull off the plastic air intake, pull off a battery terminal (to prevent throwing a code -- it's rare, but can be a pain) and use throttle body cleaner and an old toothbrush to clean outside and (carefully) inside the TB. It's a 15-minute...
