My 1999 Tj is on the back burner for a while because Im enjoying our JK 😬 I have 2 axles I’ve been picking away at. Going to go up to 35’s when I do the swap. Needs a gas tank skid, Need to install the new exhaust manifold to replace the cracked one. Few other odds and ends.

Platform like manufacturer? Or like rockjock vs prorock? Budget plays a big part. I know some people that have the Dana-Spicer ultimate 44, and Dynatrac’s 44. Depending on your area you might be able to pick up a used Rubicon 44.

Thanks! I’m just running 35’s for now and have lots of room. I was under the impression I didn’t need to trim it until I have 37’s. I’ll check it at full stuff to make sure.

Super easy! Three U-bolts slip around the axle tubes and the pinion. Clamp them down with the supplied nuts and you’re done. Plan on 15 minutes for install time at most 😂. I believe I lost around 1/2 of clearance with the skid vs running a diff cover.

I agree with Pthorpe and Todd. With conscious wheeling and no skinny pedal I would say it’d last a while with 35’s. Also depends on your traction and wheeling environment. I’d save the money you would put into your 30 and pocket it for a 44. I’ve seen some people run 37’s locally on a 30 with...

Just installed the 2.5 GC. Quick flex after the install, pretty pleased with the results and still had some flex left in her. 😁😁
