Howdy from Missouri!

Hi everyone! I'm new! 😅 I've been around jeeps for a while now (ZJ, WJ, WK) but just purchased my first wrangler 2017 JKU Sahara back in August. The jeep came lifted with MetalCloak's 3.5 GameChanger with the 6-pack shocks already installed (BONUS!!!). So, since then I've added an Adam's 1310 driveshaft and a couple other accessories.

This has been a blast to drive and I'm glad to be back in the jeep family.

Welcome and congrats on a great find. I imagine the factory drive shafts were in need of replacement. I think my rear only last one wheeling trip after I lifted.

The rear is still stock for now. I inspected the jeep pretty thoroughly during the test drive and noticed the CV joint grease flung up on the bottom of the body. I said something about it and asked them to replace the driveshaft before I bought it. They wanted to replace it with another stock unit from dodge ($1200 part). I told them that I would order the Adam's @$480 which would alleviate the issue and save them a good chunk of change.

They agreed instantly. 😅

Driveshaft came in in a couple days and one of their techs had it installed in no time and I got my $480 back. 🙂

It was a Ford dealership, too!

That is great to hear. Got to love a quality dealership...especially since it’s Ford lol

I really like the stance and overall look of your JK! Definitely a score to find one with such a nice lift already. Do you have any plans for larger tires?

That's a really good question.

I'm not really sure to be honest. I'm still running the stock D30 up front with 3.73's. The 35's are just about the max I feel comfortable with driving on the highway and hilly back roads where I live.

Also having the 6-speed manual, I find myself sometimes shifting more than what I think I should be to climb up hills. (Ozark mountain backroads make my left knee hurt. Lol)

I think, at the very least, I would do a re-gear to 4.88s and either strengthen the D30 or do a D44 swap and re-gear before I move up to 37's.
