P0128 Code: Coolant thermostat -coolant temperature below thermostat regulating temperature

Threw a P0128 code just cruising around town. Deleted code and checked engine coolant. My fluid has always shown just a small amount just visible at bottom of reservoir, which was the case. Had mechanic tell me he had had to replace abnormal amount of engine coolant thermostats on the JK...

    idrive Throttle Controller

Just messing around and found my old thread. I can report this is one of the best mods I've done. Been off road and ran the unit in E4, which gives fantastic throttle control when finesse is needed over rocks, logs etc etc. Jeep can be made to ease along without any herky-jerky engineered...

Curious as to Where You Learn about Jeeps and Jeeping

In 2012 I attended Jeep Jamboreee USA's gathering in Cullmine, AL in my fist Jeep with less than 1000 miles on it. Never had been off road on any thing but dirt bikes. My eyes were opened and I have about 25 Jamborees under my belt now. I learn and grow in confidence every time. Very...

    Ask the Expert

#1. You would think a competent shop (which I believe mine is) could easily solve this, but they haven't. Jeep modified a bit, including a Ripp Super Charger and PSC hydro assist steering. Just acknowledging the extra pulleys. With a cold start the belt chirps and disappears as the engine...

    idrive Throttle Controller

Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to run an off-road test yet. The on-road performance is so dramatic I'd easily pay twice or triple the cost. Makes no sense to me how this gadget boosts performance, but the Jeep is like totally different. Frankly, I still can't believe it.

    idrive Throttle Controller

I couldn't get feedback from my forums, so yesterday made the leap-of-faith. I'm copying my post to Scorpion Off Road Concepts facebook. Purchased and installed for $252 out the door. This thing really is "too good to be true", except it isn't. Very highly recommend. There is a setting for...

    idrive Throttle Controller

Any members have experience with the idrive https://idrive-usa.com/ ? Specifically, when in ECO (economy) mode and used for reduced response when crawling, will the unit automatically switch to normal or ultimate mode past a certain pedal depression point? For example, if in Eco and crawling...

    Naming Your Jeep... or not?

To answer, mine has no name. When I got it to the mod point when I felt obliged to give a name nothing worked. I tried, but nothing worked but "the Jeep". Well, in correction, my creation's name is Jeep.

When to use the front locker?

I wish I had the technical knowledge to properly answer your question. I will assure you full lock front and rear will get you through and over obstacles that rear only won't, in my experience, 90% of the time when used when rear only fails. It's the 10% when not advisable that I am ignorant...

Gentlemen, honest opinion on rear axle...no time to research.

Thanks. Only the shaft. Just do not like decisions based on expedient rather than due diligence.

Gentlemen, honest opinion on rear axle...no time to research.

I had some carnage two weeks ago including a bent tie rod. Just got the MC replacement after 9 days with install yesterday. While on the rack yesterday, shop tech found I had a bent passenger-side axle also. I have a JJUSA event next Thurs, so the fix is time sensitive with money down, etc...

    Goodyear MTR/K v BFG KM2's

About to replace my MTR's due to tread wear. They are the first and only after market tire I have owned, and so limited hands-on experience with other tires. I have zero complaints with this tire off road and have had no problems with balancing others report; and seem to "get through"...
