New From MI

-Rizzo-

Jeep Newb
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm from MI and recently purchased my second Wrangler a 17 JKU Sport S in Hypergreen due to constant electrical issues with my previous 07.

I ordered my JKU with the below options:
Black hard top
Automatic
Max tow package (3.73 gears)
430 touch screen radio
9 speaker sound system

Below are the mods my Jeep will have once completed in the spring:
BFG K02's 35x12.5
Method standard 17x9 wheels
Artec front axle armor kit
Artec rear axle brace kit
Cobra CB radio
Teraflex ball joints
Metalcloak ARB 2.5" true dual rate lift

Welcome from an ex-Michigander.
I did not like the cold and snow!

A bunch of us are moving away from CB's to the VHF race radios.
Better distance with the VHF radios.

We use the VHF Race radios in our club for leadership on runs and keep CBs for communication with the rest of the group. I will say the Race Radios are certainly getting more popular and have great range but that can also be a draw back when we're operating on a frequency and then we start getting tons of chatter from others.

We have not had that issue yet, as not many up here are using them yet.
We are also working on programming a couple of channels with frequencies that are not on the standard pre-programmed radios.
