Minimal Bumper

With the "minimalist" approach becoming a bigger thing every day with JK's, I figured I would post up on my rear bumper. When I was shopping for a bumper I knew I didn't want full width. I considered the Evo option, but wanted a bit more frame coverage. Jason Cooper at Rock Your 4X4 showed me the Gen-Right Fusion series. It was their stubby bumper in aluminum. What I like the most about it is it covers part of the tub below the tailgate and it has provisions for the trailer hitch. The install was very easy, but I did have to cut a small part at the base to allow for the hitch. Basically stick it on, drill a couple holes and run the bolts. I ended up reusing that piece I cut off to mount my 3rd brake light. The massive blocks of polished aluminum for the tow points were a nice touch.

Over all the light weight rear bumper was perfect for my set up since I would be running the Poison Spyder body mounted tire carrier. This is a great route to take when looking for a stubby bumper.
