MC outboard shock mounts

So I wanted to make folks aware that if you have your C’s gusseted, you may have to trim a bit of the mount. This will not be the case on on all gussets, but with my Nitro versions it created interference. I apologize for the poor photos. I will post better ones once I get my Jeep back tomorrow from Rock Your 4x4.

Anyone else ran into this?

I have Barnes 4x4 C's. Had to grind a little to fit.

This is what we cut away on mine. Got a little chop happy on this one, but I don’t believe it will affect performance in the long run. Still need to hit it with some primer to prevent corrosion.

Maybe it's a stupid question but i'm about to get the Game changer 3.5 kit for my jeep.. will be doing the instal myself and the end of winter and I have been looking at those mounts but I still dont understand 100% the use of having the shocks mounted outboard ?

I think the main purpose is to get the re-orient the lower shock pivot direction so that it doesn't fight side to side articulation.
