Dusy is usually a 3 day trip to run across.
Some of the guys with buggies now are running it in a day.

Swamp Lake is 14 miles and can be done in a day, but you are beat up by the end of the trail.
Going to miss these longer trails like this.

Dusy sounds awesome. I would love to do a 3 day ride like that and camp out. I couldn't imagine doing it in one. Especially in a bouncer or buggy.

Midland is busy busy during the current oil boom. It’s flat, stinks and dirty. I call it the armpit of Texas. You do have some small sand dunes in Kermit to play in if you like the dunes. I’m in DFW area.

Hello, new to the forum. Iím from Houston there is several off road parks around here that offer camping on weekends so you can wheel all weekend. Most of the parks have no rocks itís mostly muddy forest trails and bayou crossings. Itís cool though itís like wheeling in the jungle.

Sadly the Kermit Sandhills are closed now. Looks like they are going to start mining for frac sand there.

But Welcome to TX! There are some cool places in Big Bend you definitely should check out. Plus like others have said, we have several off-road parks, not many close to Midland though.
