Does everyone use the supplied bolts or buy stainless steel bolts instead? I live in Houston and just really want to avoid rust because I go to the beach often. At 3.80 a bolt it would come out to almost $500 and I would love to spend that on another mod instead of screws! What do you think?

I used the supplied bolts on mine. Be careful using stainless as it is a dissimilar metal and will add to the corrosion that is going to occurs to the insert. There is already aluminum in contact. Adding a more noble metal will just make things worse.

I would just put a little oil on the exposed bolt heads and the bolts sticking out the other side to slow the corrosion. You should be fine. (Do this after you have properly installed all bolts, not prior)

took your advice and after two months everything is perfect. Thanks for the info
Not a problem. Glad it’s working out.

Make sure you check for ice in the well before you drive during the winter. You gets incredible well bounce if you don’t! Lol
