    Total Miles on your JK

I have two Jeeps. My 2011 JKU Rubicon has just over 70,000 miles and my wife's Grand Cherokee, bought new in 2014 has under 40,000 miles. I also have another 4x4 but it's my 08 Dodge 2500, with 72,000.

    Jeep Badge of Honor program

It would be nice to have a trail reminder like that here in southern New Mexico but almost the only places where cell phones work are along the Interstates and in major cities. Going off-road cell service is very flaky! Besides, rocks, canyons, arroyos, all adversely impact cell service signals...

    Insane JK....fail

I've seen a lot of videos like this. For me, I'd rather take my JKU Rubi and run a long day on the trails where I can see the sights, breathe fresh air, talk with others, and realize I've come a long ways -besides, I hate playing in the mud!

Curious as to Where You Learn about Jeeps and Jeeping

I grew up in Colorado where the mountains are premier and so is the off-roading. I've since learned how I had done things where others, with more sense, dared to go. I retired back in 2010 after working for the Army; I had spent a lot of time traveling all over the USA as well as living in...

The final info has been processed for the Chile Challenge. Almost 200 vehicles passed through the registration & inspection so you can figure well over 300 people were in attendance. Well organized and fun events. A lot of new trails were run and the new ratings (similar to MOAB) have made it...

I'm home to rest after attending the Las Cruces Four Wheel Drive Club's "Chile Challenge" at Caballo Lake State Park. I'm guessing about 200 people attended the event and drove the new and old trails laid out for the event. Great week of off road fun! The ratings for the 28th annual Challenge...

Ram Trucks and Nena Barlow Pursuing Another Rebelle Rally Bone Stock Award

Nice. Two women from my club (Las Cruces Four Wheel Drive Club) are participating. Slightly modified Jeep. They are really looking forward to the event.

    Tire size disparities

I thought I had my tires pretty well setup but now I see I may have misjudged a few things. Oh well, I'll run my 315x70-17's until they wear out. They do get a lot of wear running in the desert and on the rocks we have to deal with. They are supposed to be 34. 1/4" in size and, yes they do work...

    New Mexico Chile Challenge

The New Mexico Chile Challenge is coming next month. The dates are 10 through 14 October, 2018. It is open to all 4x4 units, from stock to hard crawlers. More trails have been opened this year so everyone will have an opportunity to enjoy (??) themselves. The trail ratings have been changed to...

New to Modern Jeeper forum; from New Mexico

:nerd: Hello to all. I'm newly registered to your forum but not too new to Jeeps. Back in the 1960's I drove a GP (Jeep) while in the Army, then ran around with one of my brothers in his 1953~ Jeep flatbed truck (VERY stout springs). My first Jeep was a 2000 WJ which finally died from loss of...
